Not Receiving Email
I have had Thunderbird on my HP laptop for several years. Everything has worked perfectly. BUT, I cannot receive Email, starting yesterday. When I click the Get Email icon, nothing happens. My Email server on Comcast is getting Email which I can see and read, but Thunderbird is not getting the Email. I would appreciate any advice.

I have not received email from Comcast since Oct 5. Like you, the email is available on their server. I have yet to change my TB settings to imap.
A few months ago, when I did try imap, I lost all my Comcast inbox and folders in TB. Very scary. I was able to use the TB profile from my last backup to recovery the inbox and folders.
I’m hoping someone has an answer to why I stopped getting the Comcast email in TB.

I'm seeing that, too, in eastern Massachusetts. I believe the Comcast IMAP servers are sick today - they have been working sporadically, but mostly not. As you say, Webmail is working as expected.
I wonder if this is related to the upcoming transition of Comcast's email service to Yahoo?
Thanks for your reply! Yeah, I thought about that move to Yahoo. I will have to look at what has to be done to make that move.

PS. I forgot to mention that I got an Email from Mozilla that told me my post had a reply. Go figure, I can't receive Email except from Mozilla.

All of a sudden as of 12/8/25, both my comcast accounts on my laptop and my wife's account on her laptop stopped downloading all incoming mail with an error of imap not loading. I can send an email but after sending, it fails when trying to contact imap to manage and save into the "send" folder. I tried to reinstall ONE of my comcast accounts but using the install script on TB 145.0 (64-bit), it fails with a non-response from the server. Appears as if comcast imap server is misconfigured somehow. I'm able to get Outlook to install my comcast email. Seems to be a issue with TBird setup no longer copatable with comcast. I'm no software wiz so not sure where to go. I dislike Outlook but at this point I'm forced to use it.
Literally worked yesterday as is but today no go.
