Thunderbird has blocked me from sending my emails
Why has my email been blocked as a SCAM? mberger@wt.net? How can this be stopped and restored so I can send emails again?

Thunderbird does not do that. Your e-mail service provider does. Would you please post a screenshot of the message that you received?
i wasted the entire day yesterday trying to find out who is blocking my emails from sending, Webmail, and Sitestar and I know it is not AT&T. Webmail and Sitestar tried and tried to solve this but told me it was Thunderbird. How do I post a screen shot of the message. I can quote the error message to you. "Send Message Error -- Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: 538ESF563289985. This message has been blocked for containing SPAM-like characteristics. Please check the message and try again." This of course, is my personal email of "mberger@wt.net" that is being blocked from my laptop. I don't understand why this happened or who did this. There is now a ribbon at the bottom of my screen that shows and open the current email I open, how do I get rid of that. There has been so many buttons pushed on this computer I don't know where I am. I am in dire straights as we have a court hearing next week and I am desparate for help to get documents out to others and the attorney. I really need help in solving this problem ASAP. Can you send the message and documents through webmail at Sitestar?
yes I can send through webmail at sitestar. I have been checking the filter in Thunderbird but cannot find a problem. I have gone through every account setting I can find but to no avail. Can you help me and give me some suggestions. I don't understand why suddenly my sent out email looks like a spam.
I am sorry that I cannot help more. Let us hope that someone else can.
The message was from your server. Some people here say that webmail and IMAP mail have significant differences. Maybe those differences explain your different results.
In any case, you have a way (webmail) to meet your immediate needs, right?
The message you posted stated '... The mail server responded...' Thunderbird has no mail server. None. The only mail server involved here is the one in your SMTP server settings - or the receiving server of the recipient. It's easy to blame thunderbird because it is the agent that sends the message to the server. Blaming thunderbird is like shooting the messenger because you don't like the message.
I only use one email provider, Thunderbird, no outlook or any other but someone said Outlook could be interfering. Is this possible? My phone number is 361 772 3646 if you want to call and maybe, walk me through some possible solutions.
Mary Lee, were you able to send a specific message through webmail that you could not send from Thunderbird?
David, if yes, how can we explain that?
Thunderbird is called an e-mail client. Sitestar is your e-mail provider and they manage the e-mail server.
If you do not have an e-mail account with Microsoft and do not use Outlook as an e-mail client, then Outlook cannot interfere.
Phone support is not offered here.
Are you using any add-ons?
i have been able to send some "reply" messages through webmail but I have no address book to continue to do anything helpful through webmail as everything is in Thunderbird. I guess I will call sitestar again. I do not understand that one minute I can send an email out and the next it is blocked calling it spam? As I have said, I am in dire strats because of a terrible court hearing on the 14 and 15th, next week.
We don't have full info, as some email provider's messages may be incomplete. Seeing screenshots of incoming server settings and also the SMTP server settings may, at minimum, help verify the configuration. there is also the possibility that there is an addon that attaches content, or an antivirus program that attaches an advertisement (such as Avast or AVG). It may also help to actually see the content of a message. Can you send messages to other recipients successfully? Without attachments? Thunderbird is just an agent, neither adding nor removing content. Sending a simple one-line email to yourself may be helpful. Or send one to me at davidthunderbird at gmx dot com
Mary Lee, can you copy and paste e-mail addresses from Thunderbird to webmail as needed?
Or learn how to export your Thunderbird address book and import it into your address book on webmail?
No add ons, just my simple email with Thunderbird.
Anti-virus software?
I just tried to send a simple "Hello" to my stepson who works for Apple and it was also denied. Nothing is allowed to be sent out with my email address or from my email.
One reason that happens is that someone using the same server at Sitestar has been sending perceived spam, so the whole server is blacklisted by IP address.
If you are not already too exhausted and fed up and you have not asked Sitestar about that possibility, you might ask.
I do have anti virus software. Good idea, Scooter. I can ask them, can't hurt. I never know what to ask as I am not a computer person. I depend on people like you that actually know what to do and what you a talking about. I will call Sitestar again later.
Thank you for your help. I hope I can get this problem resolved soon.
Actually, your messages would not be refused by your own server for the reason that I gave, so there is no reason to ask Sitestar. Sorry.
Okay, but isn't my server Sitestar? If not, who would be my server?
