Black boxes
So I got directed here after leaving an unfavourable review due to an ongoing issue that google had no answers for. The screenshot should show the problem. I don't not know what causes it, only that it feels random when it breaks. Cashe/data clearing doesn't help, only a full reinstall seems to fix it, but this gets annoying pretty quick. The issue is search boxes on websites become black, and the text looks weird. The only add-on I use is UBlock, and when I left the review, the app broke after just an hour after being reinstalled, before I even installed UBlock.
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S20Ultra if that helps, though I'm due for an update, and haven't had the time to sort it.

Try to install Google search fixer add-on.
Ok, it works, but... doesn't. When a search brings up image results, the tab lags badly or crashes. A quick search into the comments for the add-on show this is a common problem.
On looking further, google image search is completely unusable with this add-on. It replaces one problem with another.

Black boxes like that tend to appear if you have quite a bit running in the background.
No, I just closed everything, restarted the phone, then looked with only mozilla running. The bozes are there. I was pretty sure this was the case but tested anyway. The only ways I found to fix the issue so far are either reinstalling or using the add-on which breaks the app in other ways as mentioned before.
I appreciate that you may have cleared the cache in the Android Settings app for Firefox for Android, but have you also done the same for other apps on your Android device?
What is the full version number of Firefox for Android that you have installed?
116.2.0. I manually keep everything relatively upto date, within a few days. Auto-update doesn't work on some samsung phones...
Which other apps should I clear? There's a lot of apps...
I would suggest clearing all of them, clearing the cache, being very careful not to clear data.
Ok. That will take some time which I sadly don't have right now. I'll see if I can get around to it over the next day or two and I'll let you know if it works.
