Thunderbird gmail verification
I have downloaded the latest version of Mozilla Thunderbird [102.3.3 (64-bit)] onto my Windows 10 Pro 21H2 laptop. I have connected one gmail account.
When I try to connect my second gmail account I get the pop-up asking me sign in with my Google Account which is pre-populated with the gmail account I have entered in to Thunderbird so I click next and it asks me to type in some random letters from an image. I have repeated this step many times extremely carefully, but it just takes me back to either repeat entering the letters or to enter my gmail address again.
I can log in to both my gmail accounts via my browser (Mozilla Firefox) without any trouble.
No matter what I do, I seem to be stuck in a never-ending loop - can anyone help, please?
Many thanks

In case anybody else has the same problem, I have finally managed to resolve my own issue.
In Thunderbird choose Tools > Settings > Privacy & Security > Web Content - tick the box for "Accept cookies from sites"
Upon retrying the verification of my Gmail account worked as normal and now it is added OK.

It may be that you are not entering the characters exactly, as that is what happens when characters are not entered correctly. My approach, since you're not succeeding, would be to completely remove that account, close and restart Thunderbird, create the account with File>New>Existing account, omit the password field on setup, and try logging in again.
Hi David,
Thank you for that suggestion. I tried it but ended up in exactly the same un-winnable cycle.
Any othe ideas, please?
Many thanks
