Import/export tool only grabs the folders, no emails
I am trying to move a customer's email from Windows Live Mail to Thunderbird I have the Accounts set-up in Thunderbird I have the Import/Export add in installed I click on import from directory -> include sub-directories and i point it to the folder i have exported the emails to. The subfolders list properly but they have no emails in them. if i locate the folder in explorer the emails are there. When I go to delete the folder Imported them to it says i am deleting tons of objects. But none of the emails show up.
What am I doing wrong.

The "the emails are there" worries me.
Thunderbird used the mbox format to store mail. That is one monolithic file per folder. So I really do not know what you are seeing.
In this scenario I generally recommend you use the "Import all messages from a directory > And also it's sub directories" menu entries. And continue to click continue on any script time outs.
The import all messages from a directory > and also it's sub directories is the exact process i did.
I see the emails in windows explorer in the folders they are exported to from WLM
I do not see the emails in Thunderbird. Only the folders and subfolders that contain them. There are no script errors when importing. When I delete the folders it says I am deleting emails but those emails are not visible.
Do you have the anti virus turned on while importing? Try right clicking the folder, selecting properties and then repair. I have a feeling the indexes are being corrupted by the anti virus locking the files to scan them.
I got them over but i had to take the directories of each account individually and import them into a Folder named after the account in Thunderbird. The sub directories and the emails came fine after that. It just wouldn't take the big email folder had exported everything to for some reason. I will try the antivirus thing next time. This was just for archiving the old so now I am less worried about it.
