I have had an email account set-up & working correctly for over a year. Used this morning ok, tried this afternoon & account appears to no longer be set-up...?
Received a likely scam call today also. Cold call claiming to be a Windows Support Tech. I asked for a phone number to call him back & he hung up. Coincidence or related to losing my email set up?

Glad you figured it out. Good move on rejecting the fake Windows tech. No Microsoft techs ever call anyone unsolicited. Would you mark this one solved please?

I suppose you can explain in more detail what you're talking about.
Ever since initial set up clicking icon would open email account. Now a support window opens showing "new in thunderbird 45.0"
Never mind. I was being an idiot along with being a little concerned with the scam call
