why does the get message button not get messages?
The get messages button will not get messages. Nor will it get messages when I left click on the email account and then choose get messages from the pop up menu. The only way that I have found to get messages in to close thunderbird and then re-open it. Is this a know issue? and what is the fix? Thanks Kelly

It's a known issue at present for people whose email is provided by a company called Charter: there have been several posts recently reporting this behaviour. A couple of months ago (if I remember correctly) there was a similar problem with a company called GoDaddy.
