Cannot connect to server

Hi there, I am having trouble connecting to sky server it seems, via Thunderbird...? I have been recently having proplems recieving emails through thunderbird and this morning i cannot send any emails either. When i try to send an email i get error message Login to server smtp.tools.sky.com failed. with three boxes underneath retry, enter new password, cancel. Can anyone please shed any light on this for me?? Many thanks

Sky uses Yahoo. There are are number of people who complained about not being able to send messages via the Yahoo SMTP server recently. Check with Sky/Yahoo if they have problems.

I have called Sky this morning, and they said it sounded like a problem with thunderbird, although due to error messages i suspected it was a problem sky's end....?
