Hi, I lost my master password for Firefox and I can't even open the browser now. I've looked at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-your-master-password-if-you-forgot-it, but this doesn't solve my problem since Firefox itself doesn't open. Since it doesn't even open without the password, I can't go into the URL bar and type in chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xul. I have tried uninstalling Firefox entirely using the Synaptic Package Manager, but when I reinstalled it the same message appeared asking for my master password before I could open Firefox. I'm running Linux Mint 17.1, and I don't know what version of Firefox. Can anyone help?
