How can I import the folders and their contents from my comcast email account to thunderbird?
I have emails sorted and collected in many folders through my comcast email account. When I set up thunderbird, it download all historical emails into the inbox. Can I import the folders and have them sorted?

Yes, but the first thing to look at is to check if comcast will allow you to set this account up using IMAP. IMAP will allow you to see all the folders on the server; the alternative, POP, sees only the Inbox.
