I lost my account recovered it but need to recover file folders
Upgraded windows 7 to 8.1 pro and lost thunderbird. Restored email account but don't see file folders with all my old files. I need to recover them.

Do you have a backup of your Thunderbird profile folder or does the profile from the Win7 installation still exist? See this article for more information on the profile folder. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Thunderbird
