When I cannot pull up an attachment in e-mail, I can put it into documents. How can I then print it from a documents?

That would not be a function of Thunderbird. You would need the software application to open whatever kind of file you stored and then work with it from there.

Thunderbird is just the delivery system. It does not open or print files.
