The above occurs always. Have to "grab" the side bar to go back up. Also quite a bit can't get buttons to function with arrow while in FireFox but, arrow functions work correctly with all others Apps. including Google Chrome.....HELP!

You may have switched on caret browsing.

You can press press F7 (on Mac: fn + F7) to toggle caret browsing on/off.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced : General: Accessibility: [ ] "Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages"

Sorry, tried the F7 trick but, still the same. To tell the truth I can't use the arrow for hardly anything as far as selecting something. As I said though, Chrome works fine (have to use it even for this). I really like Firefox but, it really is a hassle trying to do anything.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
