Hi, ITVX is advising me yo update my browser but when I check Firefox it says it is up to date. As it is no browser, including Safari or Google Chrome seems to work. My computer is admittedly old (10.13.6) but should this mean that the browsers no longer work? Thank you in advance

Firefox since 116.0 and later requires macOS 10.15 (ten.fifteen) or later to run.

Firefox 115 ESR is based on the old Firefox 115 Release but with security/stability fixes since. The last planned Firefox 115 ESR update is 115.33.0esr unless Mozilla decides before then to continue updates yet again.

Chrome/Chromium last supported the eol macOS 10.13 back in August 2023.

The issue is that some websites are not supporting old browsers. It's time to get a newer computer. I also have a mac running the same version. Let me go confirm that it's just a outdated browser issue.

The free stuff like news works for me. see screenshot Any add-ons? See if you have the same issue with Firefox in Troubleshoot mode. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode

If no further questions, mark this issue as resolved to get it off our list and have a nice day.

ITVX will stream most programmes on my Linux Mint laptops, but not certain USA programmes although it will play others from USA. I get the update browser error message also I am using the latest LM version (Zena) and Firefox is up to date, one of my laptop 2.5 years old. I have another much older laptop with also with Zena and up to date FF and the problem is the same there. I have tried the Brave browser and the problem is identical there. All ITVX programmes work fine on my smart tv and android phone. The only problem is with certain ITVX (not even all of them) American programmes some are dramas others comedies. ITV have always been poor with their streaming services, but seems relevant that the problem occurs on both of my laptops. Mozilla and LM should look into this and update the software/liaise with ITV to sort this out- I suspect this is a widespread issue in LM at least if not MS as well.
