The custom screenshot select tool (the tool which lets you select custom area of the screenshot) only captures a part of that selected are. This is quite an inconvenience. I am on Mozilla Firefox 99.0.1 for Windows x64 system. I have added the screenshots.

Posted an Imgur link as Mozilla's website is seemingly stuck at uploading images.

Soluție aleasă

This is what I use; Taking a Screenshot; Windows > Start > search box > Snip. Select Snipping Tool. Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot. Save the picture(s) to your desktop, or wherever. Press the Reply button. Then press the Add images; Browse button.

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window
