Tabs sent from other devices do not show up on Firefox for Android

I am able to use the send to device feature to send tabs _from_ my phone (Pixel2, Android 8.1.0) to my desktop (OSX 10.13.3, Firefox 59) and the new tabs appear almost instantly. Sending the opposite direction (that is, from my desktop to my phone) the tabs never appear on the mobile firefox, even when I manually sync the mobile.

Is there some trick to enable this feature on mobile?

Right, devs are working to make it more 'instant'.

But manually pressing Synchronize now button should work. At least it's working for me.
