You either can't email them or I can't figure it out? Either way, pretty awful.

So I am currently posting from a chrome browser because FireFox didn't want to open any websites for me. I have always had Firefox on my computers but never really used it but decided I wanted to give it a try. I am starting to strongly reconsider. Not only was I getting tons of error message even after a full installation and restart, but then when I opened my chrome browser to ask for help, I was dismayed to find out that I can't send an email to a support staff. If it's possible, I couldn't figure it out and while I may not be the most savvy computer user ever, if I can't figure it out, a lot of other people can't either. So I guess I'll rely on some random firefox user on the interwebs to tell me why every time on go in the browser it says it can't load any webpage that I try to go to. If you read this and your intention is to lecture me on how FireFox works and why you don't like the tone of my post, don't bother. I don't really care what you think about my message board etiquette, so please reply if you think you can help.

Ok. Admittedly the original post here was based largely in frustration. This is one of the bullet points of the error message.

If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I'm fairly certain that's my problem, but it gives no direction at all on how to solve it. Any thoughts?

What ever firewall you are using, open it. There should be settings and listing of the programs that are and are not permitted thou the wall. First, find the option that says to alert you when something wants access. Then, look at the programs listed and check each entry. Make sure that the programs you want to access the web are set to ALLOW. If there is something labeled AUTO, it might not be allowed.
