When I was seaching on Google, a website katysdogs.com appeared, and I could not close it or close the window
While searching on Google, a website called katysdog.com or katysdogs.com appeared and took over Firefox and my computer. I could not close the window or get rid of this website. I had to restart my computer.

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
Thanks for your replies! I think that I know what happened. Some scam URLs seem to show up in my google searches. Today some website called fur.ru.com showed up on the list. Nothing in Russia had anything to do with what I was looking for on Google! The URL is given before I open the website, so I just have to watch and examine the URL before I open it.
