what happened to backup prompt after second to last update 68.2.2 (32-bit)?
About every 5 times when I close TB, I've always gotten a prompt saying it's time to back up, but since the update before the latest, I don't get that prompt anymore. Am I supposed to be backing up manually now?
Thanks for any info on this.

Backup prompts are not part of a standard TB installation, so it must be due to an add-on or 3rd-party app. There is a backup option with the ImportExportTools NG add-on, or you can backup the Thunderbird folder manually:
Help/Troubleshooting Information, click Open Folder, close TB, navigate up 3 levels to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming, copy the Thunderbird folder (or add to Thunderbird.zip and copy) to a backup location.

Sfhowes, thank you SO much for your reply! You were exactly right about the backup prompt coming from the add-on ImportExportTools.
Thank you for the clear quick steps to a manual backup. I've saved those instructions for future use
The lack of that prompt and your answer helped me find the updated app and download it. Since the latest TB update, I've sorely missed several apps that didn't work with the update. I didn't realize that I had to go looking for an updated app myself. Good to know!
Thanks again, Sewlady
