multiple tab close prompt
Hi. I just upgraded to windows 10. I want to be prompted before I close multiple tabs, but it no longer does. I have changed both values below to 'true' in "about:config" but to no avail. 1) browser.tabs.warnOnClose 2) browser.tabs.warnOnCloseOtherTabs
Please advise.

Hello doritos,
Just to make sure :
After you changed the values of those preferences; did you then close and restart Firefox, in order for the change to take effect ?

If you use "Restore Previous Session" as the startup setting then Firefox won't ask for confirmation. You can check the startup setting.
- Options/Preferences -> General -> Startup: "Restore Previous Session"
Also make sure you do not use Private Browsing mode.
Hi McCoy,
I did restart firefox but to no avail. I think the issue was I was in private browsing mode. I wonder why they changed it for private browsing though. It's so inconvenient when I have 10 tabs open, and suddenly, everything disappears.
Anyway, mystery solved. Thank you for your prompt reply!
@ cor-el :
You're right; hence my second post .....

My pleasure, doritos !
BTW : I agree with you about it being very inconvenient not to be warned when in private browsing mode - just have to be extra careful before hitting that closing X ..... :(
