Why Firefox removed important feature?

This feature is in Waterfox browser, derived from Firefox.
Waterfox is basically based on the old EOL Firefox 56.0 but with their own hacks in updates and such.

Showing the parent folder in the bookmarks list in the Library window (Bookmarks Organizer) was never a built-in feature. That's why there was an add-on to do that.
Starting in Firefox 57 (released in November 2016), extensions have a more limited ability to make changes to Firefox's user interface, so extensions that modify the Library window no longer work.
As a workaround, there are extensions which integrate into the main toolbar which provide bookmark search features and show the parent folder.
I've did't handstand your reply. Problem not solved

You asked: "Why Firefox removed important feature?"
My answer:
(1) Firefox did not have this feature
(2) There was an add-on which added this feature
(3) The add-on cannot work in Firefox 57 or later
(4) You can look for a different add-on to search your bookmarks and find their folder
But this feature is in Waterfox browser, derived from Firefox. Goodbye

Hello giorgiogio48,
There seems to be a language barrier here .....
Maybe it would be better if you posted on the Italian support forum :
https://forum.mozillaitalia.org
(maybe you have an Italian version of that workaround ?)

You mention that in the link you provided in yourr original post, and you mentioned it again (twice) here in the thread.
But again : as there seems to be a language barrier, maybe it would be better (for you) to post on the Italian forum where at least people understand what you are saying ..... (?)
Ok. You can close the thread
Stab in the dark, but the answer to your question might be that the add-on no longer works in Firefox, as the developer(s) didn't migrate the add-on to Webextension .....
This looks like an alternative :
