How to edit the list of hints that pop up typically in an email field

When I signon at a website and typically enter my email address I get a list of previously used email addresses, so that I can quickly click on one, and so save typing. The problem I have is that some of these are incorrect! - where I've mistyped them. I'm sure it used to be possible to just delete the incorrect ones by highlighting them and hitting the delete button. But this doesn't work anymore. How can this normally helpful list of items be edited? I'm using the latest Firefox (64.02) on Windows 10.

Thanks, Andy

Hello Andy,

Would you try this please :

Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list Then highlight an entry in the drop-down list using the cursor Down key (arrow key) (Don't click the mouse and don't press Enter) Press the Delete key (on Mac  : Shift+Delete) to delete the highlighted entry. Repeat till only the correct username is left. (Don't click the mouse and don't press Enter)

(Hovering with the mouse no longer works)

Does that work for you  ?

Thanks! Didn't realise that just using the cursor keys was the answer. Most helpful!
