HD Video Playback is not possible on Intel HD based machines

Anything from 720p and higher does not play smoothly in quantum while chrome plays them smoothly even at 1020. I have tried disabling Hardware Acceleration, even the h264ify plugin, but both did no work. Note that before quantum everything was fine.

FF62 has solved the problem for me. Now I have smooth video playback even at high resolutions.

Thank you.

Where is the video coming from? And also note since there is no history of before as your saying on your system that no one can verify that.

All videos on YouTube cannot be played at 1020p. A couple of frames show up at first and then it freezes with only sound playing at the background. I have also tried disabling the Hardware Acceleration, but it did not improve any.

My laptop has the Intel HD chipset. Note that Chrome does play these videos nice and smoothly.

Not all browsers use the same codecs or programming. If all youtube videos regardless of resolution give problem that could be corrupted Browser and to fix is to uninstall FF complete and deleting Mozilla folder and reinstall to fix the video playback glitch. I have FF62 and have no issues with YT playback low, med, hi or full screen.
