I want to save and edit my calendar online in order to have access to it from other devices and if something happen to my PC... But I want it to be saved at some place that is not owned by Microsoft,Google,Yahoo or these big tech companies...that's the reason I'm using thunderbird-it's open source and more private. If there is such a way please explain exactly how to do it. If not please explain the best options.

Lightning calendar is local to your computer. You can add web based calendars like gmail to it. Since you do not want to do that I guess you can setup your own server farm to host a calendar but that is outside the scope of this forum

So my best option is calendar... So can I use it with calendars such as SmartDay,Jorte Calendar,Business Calendar 2,Cozi.Some of this are for many platforms, some are only for Android. And if I connect it with some of them would it be possible to edit it via my phone and when I got to my PC the changes will be synchronized with thunderbird?
