Hi, to access the Windows 7 Taskbar settings; press the Windows key (looks like a flag) > Control Panel > Appearance > Taskbar and Start Menu. (It might be set to Auto Hide).

If nothing is obvious, try restarting your PC.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!

I tried the solution as above, but it was not successful. There is no `appearance` section, but there is a `taskbar and menu`. So I opened this and the taskbar had the taskbar `locked`, the `start menu` power button `shut down` and the `toolbars` ticked. The taskbar reappeared when I opened the taskbar and menu but disappeared as soon as I closed it. Also the Edit, View, History etc. was not visible until I pressed F10, but went away again 10 seconds later. Anybody have any more ideas please,?

Did you make sure that you didn't hide the Windows Taskbar by accidentally reducing its height to zero?

Try to put the mouse pointer at the bottom of the screen and press the left mouse button and pull the mouse upwards.

From what you said in your reply, you may be in Full Screen Mode: Point to the top of the screen, then right click > Exit Full Screen Mode. You can also press the F11 key, but depending on the configuration of your computer, you may also need to hold down Fn at the same time. More - Use Firefox in Full Screen mode.

To bring up the menu bar (File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help) temporarily, press Alt. If you would like it to remain there all the time, right click in the tab bar (but not on a tab) and tick/check Menu Bar.
