Can't reestablish secure connection after deleting malware.
Running a Mac on osHighSierra. Ran into a malware problem while going to youtube.com that downloaded a trojan onto my computer: JS: Agent EAA [trj]. Managed to isolate and delete the issue and ended up installing Avast in the process for further protection.
Now I am unable to reestablish secure connections with trusted websites: Google, YouTube, Mozilla, etc. I get the error message: SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER for every website I try to visit. I even tried reinstalling Firefox to no avail.

There is security software like Avast, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate.

- uses an invalid security certificate SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

The SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER problem preceded downloading Avast.
