When i click on a Link to an Email adress it opens an infinite amount of new tabs, so i have to close Firefox and loose all my open tabs

I cant give any further details. This problem is not fairly new. I had it with the old version and now again with the newest Firefox version.

Chosen solution

You get tabs opening endlessly if you select the Firefox program to handle a file When you get an "Open with" dialog. You should never choose Firefox as the application to handle a link.

You can remove handlers.json and remove the previously used mimeTypes.rdf in the Firefox profile folder to reset all file actions.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
