The new tabs are black. I hate black backgrounds. How can I change this

I have just downloaded "the" new Firefox, because on my laptop the old one wasn't working properly.

All the tabs are now squashed up together and with a black background. I don't find it readable. I want my beautiful grey tabs with clear black writing on them lined up with enough space so I can read what is on them ... back.

Is there any hope?

The data information here is probably the wrong computer as this is not my laptop But It's Windows 10, I had several plugins but have had to disable all the "legacy" ones until they catch up ... and the tabs are black. Nothing to do with plugins, it's the new design. Please don't provide white out of black unless the user asks for it! It's not easy to read.

Thank you for any advice.

Chosen solution

Thank you this worked and I was also ready when the new version hit my desktop this morning.

When I looked up that icon a few days ago, it was only on a page to do with "Tab Pages" and I have no idea what that means. it did not take me to any kind of customisation page, which I think is strange.

hi GreenGreat, you can switch to the light firefox theme when you go to the firefox menu ≡ > addons > themes panel ;-)

in windows 10 the firefox default theme would also adhere to any custom titlebar color you set in the system settings under personalisation > colours...

Thank you I will try that this evening and see what I can do.

Later comment: when I had to re install today I had the same problem, and "themes" means nothing to me. I was looking for "colours". Fortunately I had made a document note about this reply, and was able to find it, so fix the problem without coming back and starting a new query.
