Here is this article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/insecure-password-warning-firefox?as=u&utm_source=inproduct

While the article is helpful, my problem is EVERY SINGLE WEBSITE i visit shows this "unsecure" login - EVERY SINGLE 1 (and it's at work, not porn or something insecure)

Why can't this be disabled? What is it ACTUALLY helping?

How about Firefox (which I love) set something to recognize that I'm visiting the same 8-10 sites daily and STOP notifying me each time I log in?

hi, the warning is shown for HTTP sites where your password is transmitted in cleartext over the internet. visiting an unecrypted site numerous times doesn't really make it less insecure... if you generally want to disable the info dialogs while entering your credentials you can do so when you enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named security.insecure_field_warning.contextual.enabled. double-click it and change its value to false.

thank you for your help - For me, I consider it extremely annoying...And if it annoys me so much to actually spend the time to contact firefox, im' guessing it annoys a lot of people...

It shouldn't take 7 steps to disable this...

Again, thank you for your help - I just think this type of log-in warning is completely unnecessary

Thank you for offering a way to disable this warning. But will it also allow the pages of the site to load completely? Some of my pages are being blocked so completely that I can't really use the site at all.

I also wanted to add that if I click on the disabled lock icon and then click on "learn more," I sometimes get an option to disable this protection temporarily (something like that). When I click yes, I get my page as it should be. But I don't always get that choice and that site stays locked out even after following your suggestion of looking for a secure page, or even looking for an http page so that with out the "s" at the end, will load correctly. I appreciate the warning, but I know if I'm not planning on logging in or entering any info, so it seems that I should always have that choice.

Not to be rude, but it seems like FF is treating us like we're children who can't look out for themselves. As grownups, FF should give us the info, yes, but then let us make our own choices!!

Thanks. Nancie
