its started saying this - Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible
2 days ago it started saying this and put a folder saying old firefox data on desktop so ive reinstalled it deleting the folders from program files first and no joy?

got it on cheers but is it fixed and why in the first place?
Sometimes files can get corrupted.
This may not just be random. Your Firefox may have performed an incomplete Refresh.
Did you look inside the Old Firefox Data folder on your desktop? Most likely the semi-randomly-named folder inside would be your old profile folder. A Refresh involves moving your profile folder to the desktop and creating a selective/partial copy. If the Refresh doesn't run to completion for some reason -- either it choked or it was interrupted -- then you could end up without the new profile folder, or without the settings file pointing Firefox to your current profile folder being updated with the new name. Either of those would give you that error.
Anyway, if you do not need your old settings, it sounds like you're done. However, if you want any of them back, do you still have the Old Firefox Data folder, or can you restore it from the Windows Recycle Bin?
