Hello, I am on os x 10.6.8 , and chrome is no longer supported as of today, but I have firefox 45.0.1. on the same computer. Is it safe to use Firefox in that environment or is it too risky security-wise? Thank you.

Just because Chrome is dropping support for Mac OSX 10.6, 10.7, 10.8 does not mean Firefox is at risk.

However Mozilla may be dropping support for Mac OSX 10.6, 10.7, 10.8 also with Firefox. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mozilla.dev.platform/gXZj0rQWEfI

If that happens you can switch to the Firefox 45 ESR builds as it only gets security and stability updates in line with the Firefox releases for say eight updates until 45.8.0 ESR. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/
