I have just installed the Windows 10 Upgrade. Firefox is working fine, but some sites don't work, for instance facebook.com. When I simply type in 'facebook.com' I get the message as sent in the images. The message is in Dutch, but it should be something with the https connection. The only possibility is to click the button, I can't go to the website I asked for.

I've a version of Firefox 39.0 installed. All updates should be installed.

Does anyone know a solution? Or is it already known and wil there be a fix soon?

hi, this might be happening in accounts restricted by microsoft family parental controls. you could turn that off for your account like described at: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/turn-off-microsoft-family-settings

in case you want to have it on by intention, you'd need to some configuration work in firefox, and install the certificate of ms family safety that is getting used to intercept secure connections into the browser's trust store. click on this link - then a dialog about adding a cert should display. please check the box to Trust this CA to identify web sites & confirm the change.

alternatively you could also try the manual steps described at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2965142 in the section about firefox.

If you expand the Technical Details section (I can only type that in English!), could you copy/paste the error code, which usually is in parentheses and has underscore characters between the words.

Are you getting certificate errors on most HTTPS sites or only on a few?

Problems on numerous HTTPS sites can be caused by Firefox not being fully set up to work with your security software. Do you use Avast, ESET, Kaspersky, BitDefendner, or another program that intercepts your browsing for filtering?

Problems on a small number of sites could be caused by other factors, either individual to the site or resulting from content filtering (e.g., parental controls).

Hi, Thank you for your reactions! I've turned off the MS family settings and now Firefox works fine. I'm really grateful for your quick answers!
