I want a quick link icon on my home page. How do I add one?

more options

When I used a different system, i created links on my home page by simply right clicking on the page and selecting the option to create a shortcut. I do not have that option with mozilla. I want it and cannot find an answer anywhere on how to make it happen. Clearly, right clicking is not an option with mozilla, so what is the process?

Chosen solution

One option is to drag the padlock or globe from the address bar and drop it on the desktop (or other folder).

That can be a bit of work to resize windows, so someone created an add-on to more closely emulate how IE does it.

Unfortunately, the extension hasn't been updated for a while, so you may have to work around a glitch, as described in one of the reviews: "As other people have pointed out, you should be able to get it to work by going into your Add-ons, selecting Options, going to the Path tab, and telling it to Find the path."
