I put my bookmarks in alphabetical order, but they revert back to unsorted status.

I use "Change your view" box, then "Sort" - the list then alphabetizes, but when I return to it, its jumbled again, and needs to be re-sorted, then continues in this manner.

Hi teddy44, Does this happen after Firefox sync finishes a sync?

In the Library window - Views > Sort -> everything there The sort order in the Library window up there is for viewing purposes only, and will not be reflected in the Bookmarks sidebar, menu or button. And the "sort order" is reset when the Library window is closed.

See this support article - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/sort-bookmarks-quickly-find-ones-you-want#w_sorting-by-name

Use the context menu in the left-hand panel in the Library window to "Sort by Name". Right-click on the Folder that you want alpha-sorted. For all your bookmarks (except for the Bookmarks Toolbar folder), right-click the Bookmarks Menu folder and use "Sort by Name". Only the folders themselves are sorted, along with the loose bookmarks. Each individual folder that is in the Bookmarks Menu folder and below (ie - folders within another folder) doesn't get "sorted by name" inside the folder as part of the "main sort".

Note: If you have any "Separator" lines, each group of folders / bookmarks between Separators will be alpha-sorted separately from the other groups.

Depending upon how many bookmarks you have and the CPU speed of you PC, it may take a few minutes for the "sort" to be completed.
