About two days ago, a window popped up asking me to sign into Google calendar. I attached a picture of the window.

I entered my gmail address and gmail password and it said the data I entered aren't correct. (I am sure that the password I entered is correct. It's stored in 1Password and I can use it to sign into any of my Google accounts.)

The pesky window pops up about every half hour.

Any suggestions for making it go away?

Account keeps prompting re IMAP auth failure, but all server settings are set to NOT poll

A google workspace account I used to use has been deleted on google. I want to keep my repository of emails for that account. I have tried to tell tbird NOT to poll any servers re this account, but I think it still does.

For that account in server settings: - check for new messages at startup is off - check for new messages every x minutes is off - allow immediate server notifications when new messages arrive is off

I remove the SMTP setting for that account entirely.

The error message mostly shows up when I've switched from say Sent to Inbox. At those times I am not even looking at that accounts messages, there are other active accounts. The exact message is: Authentication failure when connecting to server imap.gmail.com I can't be positive that it is related to this now gone account that I still keep in thunderbird, but the issue did start when the account went inactive.

Hello. In Account Settings->Copies & Folders I've placed my subsidiary folders directly under the root which represents my account. See screenshot.

Accessing my mailbox via a web-mailer, the interface conforms to this setting. See screenshot.

But in the Thunderbird interface, my folders are arranged as shown in the screenshot. You can see that these folders are sub-folders of my Inbox. How can I correct this?

Is there any way to get rid of that giant empty line?

Just recently I discovered the option "Prefer display name over message header" (German: Anzeigenamen statt Namen aus Kopfzeile der Nachricht verwenden) in the TB addressbook entries, but after upgrading from V115 to V128 the option has vanished.

Is there a substitute or is this a bug that will be fixed soon?

Buen día, estoy teniendo problemas debido a que Thunderbird me esta borrando los email mayores a 14 dias. El correo lo tengo configurado como IMAP y lo tuve que configurar tambien como POP3 cuando ví que sufria de este problema. El servidor no está configurado para borrar los mensajes. Lo que hice para probar fue dejar de entrar por thunderbird hace un par de días e ingresar por la web y tomé nota de los correos existentes, hasta hoy (09/10/24) tenia email de los días 20/09 (19 dias) y 23/09 (16 dias) y al abrir Thunderbird estos se borraron. Paso captura de como estan configurados ambas cuentas (es la misma en diferentes protocolos)


La version de thunderbird es 128.3.0esr (64-bit)

After moving to a window that is 21 the application did not compress the calendar and I do not see all days from Monday to Sunday only Monday-Saturday.

I tried all the other options in drop down menus all over and they all come up. But clicking on settings does nothing. I even went into account settings and tried clicking on Thunderbird Settings and it does nothing there also. Can I reinstall over the existing program without losing anything to try and see if that helps and fixes the problem?

   Microsoft has recently implemented a policy update for new authentication methods.

Mozilla Thunderbird does support Modern Authentication and it is recommended that you ensure you switch to use those settings. Any account that you add to Thunderbird will now automatically setup using the proper settings. You have the following options: Option 1: Update Current Settings 1. Change Thunderbird's server settings: Select ≡>Account Settings. In the left pane, select Server Settings for your Outlook.com or Hotmail.com account. ForAuthentication method, select OAuth2 (instead of Normal password). 2. Change Thunderbird's authentication method for sending messages (SMTP): Select ≡ >Account Settings. In the left pane, select Outgoing Server (SMTP).
