I have been trying and searching but I could not find a suitable answer. Figured I try asking the question here.

Is there anyway or what is the policy that I can configure to disable the "New Tab Ctrl+T" function on the menu please? Attached image.

On the operating system of windows where the Mozilla browser is installed, we desire to disable user access to all settings so that they can't be accessed. I already generated a working policies.json file but user can still access settings.

Then I put the file local-settings.js in the "firefox_application_folder/defaults/prefs/" with the following text // pref("general.config.obscure_value", 0); // only needed if you do not want to obscure the content with ROT-13 pref("general.config.filename", "mozilla.cfg");

Then I put the file mozilla.cfg in the firefox application folder with the following text // lockPref(); // lock pref, disallow changes

Firefox (v. 113.0.2) returns the following error message: Netscape.cfg/AutoConfig failed. Please contact system administrator. Error: lockPref failed: [Exception... when iam using <input type="datetime-local" name="myTime" id="myTime"> tag its not populating time in firefox which is 113.0.2 (64-bit) version iam using and its working other browsers can you please help to fix this one. please let me know more details.

I'm running 113.0.2 (64-Bit) on Ubuntu Focal.

I just wanted to log into my bahn.de account, got prompted with a hcaptcha which I correctly answered and then got an "503 Service Unavailable" error. The problem is reproducible each time I try. It was working fine when I last tried about 2 weeks ago. I tried disabling addons and tracking protection, deleted cache + cookies + login data as well as cookie files, reset Firefox - no change. Fun fact: The login is working without issues and interestingly even without captcha showing up in Opera and Epiphany (Gnome web browser).

Any suggestions for debugging would be very much welcome. Any hint on why the hcaptcha shows up in Firefox and not in Opera and Epiphany is much appreciated, too.

What's the best easiest way to translate my website https://invivobio.net/ in different language. We have different countries visitors so I want to check/translate my English content in different languages after publishing them, so it will be understandable for me and visitors to check the language, is that correct?

Can anyone suggest me Mozilla Firefox Extension which translate perfect because I leave Google Chrome due to slow browsing. I am enjoying Mozilla for the long time, so I don't want to move back to Chrome.

When I switch from one tab to another doesn't matter the webpage the page adjusts the content on the tab. For example I was on youtube and switched over to gmail and it adjusted the screen and when I switched back to youtube it did the same on youtube. I wasn't zoomed in or anything. I was just on the tab and it was fine and looked how it should but as soon as I switch to another tab it does it on that tab and then will do it again when I switch back to the tab I was on originally on. I'm on FF vers 113.0.2 (64-bit).

There are many mainstream websites that have stopped functioning in firefox that work perfectly fine when switching over to brave and enabling scripts

these are not obscure sites, they are sites for privacy protecting entities hence the lack of function on firefox is perplexing

how do we make these sites work in firefox again to save the switching to brave?

5eagle: Is there any possibility that the question 'How do I turn OFF FireFox as Default Browser' could be answered? This thread was archived, without conclusion, it seems cor-el Top 10 Contributor Moderator was/is unwilling/unable to provide a solution/answer [2021 ish]. Like 'Shucks ' I would like to 'Turn OFF FireFox as Default Browser' I did not enable via settings so must have missed the opportunity to deselect when installed. If not possible to turn off please advise and I will uninstall and use another. 05 June 2023.

Just recently been experiencing the 400 Bad Request error on Kick.com (a live streaming platform) for about a couple hours now. Never had any issues prior.

Was informed that this same issue is happening on other browsers and the only solution is a "quick fix" (clear site cookies) which only works for literally a second. When the page is reloaded the error message pops back up.

I'm running Firefox 113.02 on Windows 10 22H2 OS Build 19045.2965 on an older HP Laptop.

In trying to resolve an issue with another app, their help desk suggested that I needed to start Firefox fresh with a new profile, that the profile I was using might be causing the problem. My first step was to save and rename the profile that I was using before proceeding, then I proceeded as instructed. I don't know how to revert to the old, saved profile. Articles that I've read discussed too many variables confusing me ; so I'm here to ask help from the community.

The reason that I want to revert is because I lost add-ons that made my browsing life better. I failed to make a note of those add-ons, some of which I've been using for so long that I've lost awareness of them. Bookmarks have also been scrambled and lost. If it matters, I've run Firefox today using the new profile that is missing things I want and need. If browsing today added anything to the profile I will happily do without it to get my old profile settings and pointers back.

I can see the profile that I renamed and saved when I enter about:profiles. I also see several other profiles. I infer that the last profile in the list is the current and default profile, but I'm not certain; so maybe that question should be my second. My first question is can I revert to the old profile? When I see the old, renamed and saved profile, it does not appear with a button to make it the default.

From what I've read, my understanding is that I have to make the saved profile the active and/or default profile so that it will be used by Firefox each time Firefox is reloaded. Do I also have to rename it?

Help will be greatly appreciated and gratefully received.

I'm getting older and my vision is deteriorating. I'm at a stage where I'm having significant difficulty getting past the captcha challenges in more and more websites. When I complain to the websites, they're telling me that they don't control the captcha but that's its hosted and run by my browser.

I need to disable the visual tik-tak-toe picture captcha challenge in my FireFox browser... and replace it with anything else. If I'm not able to stop or replace these captcha's coming up in FireFox way too frequently now... I'm going to have to stop using the browser and switch over to another brand that's handling these security challenges differently.

Can you help me stay on the FireFox browser at this time?

I add to reinstall windows, and every software including firefox.

Previously I checked that my datas were proprely sync.

I just finished the firefox installation, but the sync does not find any of my previous datas... T.T

Any idea please ?

I am on a unstable internet connection and while trying to download a large file it gets often interrupted. By default Firefox deletes the .part file and I am forced to again download from zero. Is there a config that I could change so Firefox keeps .part files so I could continue resuming the interrupted download?

When watching something on Youtube and I click on the coloured download icon, I get to be able to click on the title of the video. A blue 1 appears in the download icon. When I click again, then click on the blue 1 to watch the download. Nothing happens. The window just sits there and states 'downloading', but it does not happen. This happened last year and you managed to fix it; now Youtube seem to have blocked downloading again. Geoffrey D Dean, Australia.

I would like to add the bookmark tree to my Fickle theme so the colors used can also be seen when looking at my bookmarks. I would gladly ask permission from the person who created the bookmark tree extension and try an see if his extensions could list the bookmarks in the same blue/yellow colors of Fickle. I hope it can work and thanks for any and all help. Rob

On the website page, it has top rating section of the products. When I scroll down to see the listing, there is a big empty space between the next item in the listing and it continues through every next item of the listing.
