I don't use Firefox daily, so not sure exactly when it last opened ok on my iMac (26.5.2). So I downloaded Version=153.0.1 BuildID=20260727124451, and tried again. When attempting to launch, the icon in the dock bounced a few times, then nothing. When repeated, it only bounces once.

Likely unrelated, but I had very recently upgraded my LuLu app (4.4.3) from Objective-See. It monitors outbound connections. But disabling the app changes nothing.

I'm not a MacOS guru. I expect there is an error in a log file somewhere that reveals the problem, but I don't know where to look.

Suggestions?

Enhanced Tracking Protection is preventing access to x.com even after it is allegedly "turned off" for this site. I have been using personal computers since the 1970s after the IBM PC was introduced, but now I am about ready to ditch Firefox AND Windows 11 to install a decent version of Linux. Grok on my iPhone 8 offered several suggestions to resolve this issue, but none of them have worked so far... including trying to us Microsoft Edge instead of Firefox.

Some checkout sites love to open PayPal in its own window without menu bars, which clashes with my uMatrix installation, as I'm not able to set the necessary permissions to make the pop-out window work correctly. I want to force websites to open pop-out windows as a new tab instead of its own window. How can I achieve this?

How can I increase the number of website icons when I open a new tab in Firefox and get rid of the so-called news items? Right now I only have room for about 8 websites to choose from

After closing the records in the window, how many windows can be kept now?

I had 6 windows open before closing my browser, but only 5 were automatically restored after reopening it; there are no other windows in the closing history either. What happened? There are no other windows in the closed history section either. What's going on!?!?

I spent almost an entire day setting up my firefox browser shortcuts, themes and extensions on my laptop. It was exactly how I wanted it. Now it is all gone! I had not written all the web addresses down. how do I get them all back?

I must find a way to disallow this undesirable and very annoying feature. It is always there even after removing all the protection I could. Please help

Suddenly https://unifi.ui.com console doesn't work on Firefox anymore, but it does on other browser, it even works on mobile app.

It works on Chrome e.g.

We tried Firofox incognito/Private mode but same problem.

Suport from Unifi can't help they say it a Firefox problem.

I can't download some pdfs, notably my bank statements. I CAN download some pdfs. Eg, I can download my car manual (although it's a process of downloading it to my Google Drive). However, trying to download my bank statements, Firefox gives me no options at all, and, indeed, I get an error message. Yet I CAN download my bank statements using Google Chrome! I've carefully checked all my Firefox settings, but nothing seems to address this problem. I've spoken to my bank, and they don't know why I can't download them either. When I try to download the statements, I get a screen saying it can't give me a 'Preview' (see attached screenshot), but there's a 'Download button. When I click that I get a white screen with the 'error' message:

Hey, I recently started using the Firefox browser, and I have a lot of websites. Sometimes I manage my websites on firefox for the last 1, 2 weeks, whenever I open my website https://manatoki.click/, it sometimes shows a 404 error: site doesn't exist.

It doesn't happen every time but sometimes this issue comes. Then if I open the website again in a new tab, it opens fine. This only happens with Firefox for me. Why is this happening? Is it a host or server connectivity issue, or should I just ignore it?

When attempting to start Firefox a box appears requesting password to install HELPER. Passwords are not accepted and CANCEL button halts Firefox startup. I have been a Firefox user for 15+ years. Don't want to be using Safari on the Mac. Q
