Need Accurate, Complete and Up to Date Document on Publishing Existing or New TB Calendar to WebDAV

I have searched high and low on how I can publish my existing calendar to a WebDAV server. I need to publish in such a way that I can access it in my TB, and when I create new events or update existing events, that they synch with what is on the WebDAV.

Can an existing calendar be published so TB sync's with the published copy? Or can only a new calendar, at the time of creation, be created to sync?

Why does Mozilla not have this documented? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/exporting-and-sharing-a-calendar is not accurate. Tried to follow and use it, and I never did get authentication credential prompt. Only a Cancel or Close button. Calendar (.ics) was not uploaded to to my WebDAV.
