Firefox opens a new window every time I wake my computer from sleep

So I put my computer to sleep with Firefox open in the background with the usual open tabs, then later when I come back I wake up my laptop, log in, and after I log in a new Firefox window is always there. It's a persistent and weird problem.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, as well as did a refresh yet I still have this problem. Even after a refresh with no plugins and no change in settings it still has that problem. Is there a setting hidden somewhere? Is this a bug? Is it something I could change in about:config? Thanks.
