I have tried to redownload Firefox in English 5 times and everytime I restart it reboots in French, the language it originally downloaded in.
I originally downloaded Firefox while in France, and it downloaded in French. I have since redownloaded it in English multiple times and it updates for a while, and then, when I shut it down and reboot, it is in French again. It is at the point that it is affecting my work life negatively due to the fact thatthe spellcheck on emails is in French, and I am growing very very frustrated at attempting to fix this. All the more so because any attempts to fix are that much harder due to the toolbar being in French and having to translate the instructions in English into the French Equivalents for the buttons I see. Any help would be gratefully received.

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

Hello Alwyn, please try one more time to download a full copy of firefox in English and then install that copy, follow the next steps:
1. Download a copy of the latest firefox in English from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html (full dmg package)
2. Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean install.
3. Install the version that you have downloaded.
Do not select to remove your personal data, your profile data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks or other personal data.
