This file came up on my Firefox screen as a patch that should be installed so I said go ahead. Apparently this is not a Mozilla product and I want to remove it. How do I do that?

If you still see this file in the Downloads Manager (Library; Show All Downloads) then you can open the containing folder via the right-click context menu if you do not know to what location you have saved this file. You can also consider to clear the Firefox disk cache.
