how can I stop getting a prompt to save or bookmark open Firefox pages?
I have not been able to block Firefox from constantly prompting to save or bookmark the Firefox page I'm viewing. This is extremely annoying, especially since I doubt that anyone at Mozilla will bother to respond...

Hi, as far as I know there is nothing in Firefox that asks or tells you to bookmark a page.
This would/could be the result of a program installed or a add-on/Extension you have installed or Malware.
Please check your lists of Programs for something you do not know what it is and dump it. Also to think back to when this started what did you install into Firefox or your Computer.
After checking out the above ; Please give yourself a scan : https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac/
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
