Sending of message failed. There was an error attaching call_skype_logo.png. Please check if you have access to the file.

I did not suggest Ctrl+V I suggested Ctrl+Shift+V and if I did not it was an error.

What is happening is the copy information from the web page includes a image that is not visible and may well be invoked with javascript. Thunderbird is pasting it in ok, but when you try and send that image (common across the internet as the skype picture that appears along with facebook twitter etc can not be found. I have no idea really what complex code your copy and pasting, and I doubt you do either. Ctrl+Shift+V pastes just the unadorned text. Nothing else and should not have any issue at all because the reference to the image should be missing.

got an image in your email signature? copy and paste it from Microsoft word?

I don't have an E-Mail signature. Never have. I don't even know how to set up this option.

And this problem occurs frequently when I cut and paste something, either from another E-Mail or from a web-site into an outgoing E-Mail. However, the problem does not occur every time something is inserted into an outgoing E-Mail. But, it never occurs when nothing is pasted into an outgoing E-Mail.

Try pasting as unformatted text. Ctrl+Shift+V or right click and select from the menu.

Thanks anyway. Problem was solved (actually circumvented) with a different suggestion.

what was that suggestion? We are always looking for more answers

The suggestion (which did work) was to cut and paste the web-site page information into another medium (such as a Word Document) and then cut and paste it again into the outgoing E-Mail.

This is not a solution, but a circumvention, which takes multiple steps and time. The problem, still needs to be fixed.

and does my suggestion not work?

As I originally wrote in response to your first suggestion - was that I don't have / use a signature file. So, that did not work. As far as your second suggestion, that is what I do - CTRL-V or Right Click and Paste Option. Everything can be pasted into the E-Mail without a problem, but then it fails either when the system tries to save the E-Mail as a Draft or when I try to send the E-Mail.
