Can I make a flashing tab give an audible notification?

I am often working with 6 - 8 browser tabs open, as well as working in Excel and Quickbooks, which often cover my browser tabs. So, if a browser tab begins flashing, indicating new email, or a chat reply, etc, I don't know about it until I actually return to Firefox, where I can see the flashing tab. It would be great to have the option to get an audible notification from a flashing browser tab! I can't seem to find anything of the kind. Any thoughts?

There might be an add on that does this. HTML Notifications came up, but you may want to browse as well addons.mozilla.org.
