I have experience with chrome as i used to close the window then open i have my last session all the tabs occuring but in firefox im unable to do that even in settings of startup i have selected to open my previous tabs and windows but nothing opens just a blank screen also i cannot open recently closed tabs by command + shift+ T kindly help it is very annoying as i lose my presvous sessions again and again. I just found out that my tabs are not stored when reopening Firefox. Only pinned ones are still available. In settings of course I have `Remember history` and `Open previous windows and tabs`... I'm new to Apple, but this behaviour is absurd. Someone said I woudl have to use Command+Q as a solution? That can't be true. Is there some strange way of installation of Firefox I did that only not pinned tabs are not remembered? I have all things up to date. I'm not a noob in computer science so I can verify something more but this out of the box bad behaviour is shock to me. At the same time on Windows I have 200+ opened tabs and no problem to restart Firefox and keep have them.

I had maybe 8 to 15 container tabs, and they have all disappeared a few times before, i was a bit bothered but i didnt have anything too important there, but this time i had a few container tabs that had stuff that i had to keep there because i wouldnt remember them. now they are all gone, and it really annoying and i dont know how to get them back.

Je trouve cela assez dommage et gênant car je dois les ré-ouvrir un à un pour les épingler ou les grouper de nouveau. Y a-t-il un paramètre permettant d'éviter cela, ou une correction prochaine à ce problème ? Merci d'avance, Henri

I open firefox. Homepage is there. I open a new page. A new screen appears which completely obliterates the former screen. As if I had just opened the internet. With the next page I go to, it is the same. Previous screens masked. And so on, and so on. Instead of separate tabs appearing at the top of the initial page

I am using Firefox on Linux Ubuntu 26.04. I normally work with multiple tabs. Then I quit Firefox with all tabs open at the point of quitting. Some times on the rare occasion there can be a forced quit due to some issues. In my settings I have configured it not to open the previous tabs. In fact I want a blank page. But whenever I reopen Firefox, it opens those tabs and tries to reload which is annoying. Some of these pages take a long time to reload, and why would I want to look at tabs which I already have read. Or if it crashes due to some website on a tab why reopen something that crashed in the place ? Can you fix this. Thanks.

I've been at this for about two months and can simply not find a solution. I normally have 40+ tabs open in my desktop browser. I can put my mouse cursor/pointer over the tabs and using my scroll wheel shift visible tabs left or right (not actually switching to another tab).

All of the sudden it seemed that when I do this the tabs just absolutely fly by. Like I can't shift just two or three tabs at a time, it's shifting 10+ tabs with just a single scroll wheel 'click'.

I can see ten tabs or so and I know that what I want is just a few to the right, when i begin to scroll them the tab I want goes shooting by so far left it's gone now. I 'm left having to click the left/right arrows to move just one tab at a time, but if I click them too fast I get basically the same response. They just go flying by.

How can I slow this down without also changing the vertical scroll speed of the mouse when reading long webpages?

Until the most recent version(s) (at least through 148), if I have multiple windows open, the restore tab hotkey (control + shift + t) would open a closed tab in the previous window it had been closed in. Now, it opens the tab in whichever window I currently have focus on. It also used to remember the tab's previous location with regards to order among other tabs; now it opens it at the end of all tabs.

Example: I have two windows open, window A and window B. Window A has 5 tabs; window B has 10 tabs. I close tab 3 of Window B.

Old behavior: Pressing restore tab hotkey (control + shift + t) would cause the closed tab to always open in window B regardless of which window currently had focus, and would open it between tabs 2 and 4, as tab 3 again.

New behavior: Pressing restore tab hotkey (control + shift + t) will now cause the closed tab to open in whichever window has focus, A or B, and open as the last tab; for instance, if I am in window A, it will open as tab 6, if I am in window B, it will now open as tab 10, instead of tab 3.

Is there any way to restore the old behavior? At the very least, to get the windows to separate out the restore tab lists? I don't want tabs restoring to incorrect windows.

I am using Windows 11 on both my desktop and laptop. I began using vertical tabs a ways back. On my desktop I am able to scroll through the active vertical tabs with the mouse. But, I am unable to scroll the vertical tabs on my laptop. I have compared the Firefox settings on both computers and have been unable to find any settings that are different which could be applicable.

I saved and closed a few tab groups about a month ago and now they're no where to be seen. Nothing is in the down arrow on the right and I don't see any groups searching through history. The text when I closed them said I could re-open them at any time. Where are they?

Hi, My browser won't save the open tabs. I lost my tabs multiple times now, I don't even bother opening them back up now, but it's annoying. I have activated ( and disabled/enabled ) the setting to open previously open tabs on startup.

What can I do ? thanks

Hyperlinks keep opening in new windows, not in the same/existing window where they were selected. Issue is not unique to Google Search results and occurring across multiple websites. At wits end trying to figure this one out. I have deselected the "Open links in tabs instead of new windows", turned off all extensions, and uninstalled & reinstalled Firefox. Issue is still occurring. Attached is image of my tab selections showing all turned off.
