I use middle-click to close the tabs and move and select tabs around a lot and often misclick on a button by accident and I find that really annoying and tedious to always have to scrutinize the buttons before clicking.

I want to hide all of these buttons.

I have tried userchrome and etc... user scripts, that does not work reliably.

My email used to put all my new emails at the top of the inbox. But recently it has started putting them in between the emails already in my inbox. How can I get my inbox to load my new emails at the top of the inbox?

I need to increase the font size of the display. It is about 8 point. I cannot find an article that says how to increase the display when I first open Thunderbird. I can increase the font form the actual message or replies.

An email displayed in dark mode modifies the formatting of the email. For example I received an email from Zillow. If in dark mode the images are cropped but in normal/white mode email is normal and I can see the whole imaged.

I am using Firefox version 157.0.1 (64-bit) (mint-001-1.0) on Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon. 4 Monitors are connected. In a previous version, don't know which but it is not long time ago, Firefox opened, when I clicked on the task bar icon, always on the monitor, where I moved the mouse to. Now in the writen version above, it is opening on the monitor, where the last Firefox window was closed.

It used to be so easy to tell Firefox where to open a new window, but that feature is gone now. Or is there maybe a setting somewhere to turn it back on? I didn't find anything in about:config, though.

Please do not confuse the behavior described here with the System Settings feature > Moving and Resizing Windows > Location of newly opened Windows, which works differently and is, unfortunately, very impractical.

In Thunderbird, a double-click no longer opened a highlighted email in a new tab as the 'Classic' setup used to do.

I ended up in system setting for the mouse/touchpad. The 'double click' slider had NO value set to it. The 'double click' test did not work.

I set 'a' value to the slider. Viola! The double click test works. Thunderbird works as it used to, as it has.

SOMEthing put a null value in the system settings. I had been nowhere around that function setting.

I was on my computer and signed into Mozilla Firefox. They asked me to pair with my mobile app, which is FoxFocus. I'm just trying to do that. It says that I should go to the sign-in menu or tap Sign In and then tap Ready to Scan but there is no such thing on this app. I'm just wondering how to do it

Firefox used to position a new window on the screen in a somewhat predictable manner prior to 158.

For example, if there was a blank space on the screen between other windows, the browser would locate it and be placed there. A new instance would also appear on the active screen (I have two: left and right with a single window manager spanning both) where the mouse was located. Now the window is just placed in some arbitrary locations and may appear on the non-active screen.

I have a number of scripts that load various sets of windows on the screen (typically a number of xfce4-terminals and the browser) which used to pretty much work, but no longer as the browser windows can show up any place and must then be relocated. When I start a new session I have eight distinct desktops with many versions of Firefox on each. It is tiresome to have to relocate one browser window after another.

Is there any option I can set that would revert to the older screen placement algorithm?

Also, I asked this before and don't remember getting any satisfactory response. Why is the -geometry flag not supported on Firefox any longer? What's the opposition to giving the user control over this? I want some command-line method for accurately setting the size (WxH) and position (X:Y) of the browser window on the screen. Am I missing something here?

There is no simple way to add mailto:"mail.proton.me in settings.

I can delete Google but there's no option add an alternative. Settings is looking for an app, not an email provider address. I had to modify handlers.json to make it work.

On Firefox mobile for Android there's a huge first in the list button pushing your vpn, i hate it and want it removed but there's no option to do so, i don't want it or need, same with your lackluster ai features.

In the past ive donate multiple times to the Mozilla foundation, but will no longer, while they push bad redesigns and feature i neither want nor can hide.

When I installed Thunderbird, I selected Custom Installation, thinking I would get an opportunity to select which components I wanted installed. All it allowed me to do is define the installation folder. Not very "customizable." Anyway, I already have a calendar app that I'm perfectly happy with, don't need a task manager, and don't use chat, Is there a way to remove those apps from Thunderbird?

When I resize a regular Firefox window (in Windows 11), I can resize it to have a quite a small width.

If I pin the same website to the taskbar to make it into a web app, now I can't resize it to the same width, and the windows appear locked to a much larger width.

This is annoying because specific web apps can be resized a lot smaller to fit that specific site's interface. If anything, I would want to make the windows smaller more often than I would with regular Firefox windows.

If there's a setting to turn off this width limit, I would really appreciate it!
