Thunderbird is used on a domain network of 100 computers, all connected to a Carddav address book. About 10 computers have stopped syncing their address book. Reconnecting the address book doesn't help. Newly added email addresses don't sync. Everything is fine on the other computers, all running Windows 10.

We have an email account that is gmail behind the scenes but uses a front end alias (e.g. name@organisation.ca). Adding the email account to Thunderbird is no problem, TB recognizes that it is a gmail account. However, it does not automatically add the address book. I tried to add manually using the new Accounts Hub CardDav putting in the email address under UserName and putting in imap.gmail.com:993 for the URL/Hostname. It does not work and I get the error: Component returned failure code: 0x80004002 (NS_NOINTERFACE) [nsISupports.QueryInterface]

How can I extract or retrieve the "Username:" variables and "Email" variables in the Body text to set up a mailing list or Address Book.
