I inadvertently installed a new version of Firefox/Mozilla and all the previous bookmarks I had saved now appear to be gone. I don't want to try to recreate my list of bookmarks again, is there a way to get them back? I tried doing an import of bookmarks but it's only showing a few of them and not nearly as many as I had before. anything you can suggest would be very helpful!

My hard drive recently crashed but I was able to recover all the c drive files. I found the firefox profiles and have copied the entire folder onto my desktop in the new windows 11 computer. I can't seem to sync those bookmarks and passwords to the firefox. I think I need to change the default profile but can't get that to happen. I have copied the profile from the crashed computer to the profiles folder on the new one. Please help guide me through the process.

New computer, W11, completely updated. The old SATA SSD was removed from old PC, had W10 on it and that had FFx 133.0 installed; successfully transferred the bookmarks to another W10 PC but not the Passwords/logins. Transferred all the information from the Mozilla folder (per Firefox/Mozilla help) to a USB: plugged it into my new computer and did the same transfer of the Places, Key4, logins, and favacons to the new computer: no change. Just finished uninstalling FF and removing the Mozilla file from App Data, then doing a complete reinstall; then added the old places etc. to the new install. Nope, didn't work. So what's going on with FF and W11?? Is there a solution? I have been with Firefox now for over 10 years and have never had these kinds of problems moving my information.

MODERATOR: mark this question as solved, please. I truly don't know what happened or what I did other than what I have listed above, but late last night (12/10) I went to try moving all these things again ----- and they were in place, they had installed etc. I am at a loss as to why all my logins and bkmrks. are now on the new PC, but who am I to question fate, good luck or The Lord.

My Firefox program completely crashed and would not restart. I had error messages like " couldn't load XPCOM" and "entry point not found", and "awake time".

Reinstalled new Firefox version. At some point it asked for a new password and I put in a new password.

Then it asked for encryption key. I entered it and it said invalid. Can I sign in with the old password and use the encryption key that I know is correct? Or change the password back to the prior password?

Otherwise how can I get to my profile to recover bookmarks and other info?

Please provide step by step instructions.

I'm trying to set up Firefox on a new Chromebook and running into several problems. 1) when I attempt to sync and save data, the camera option says no camera. The email option says address not found. 2) Same problem with the Firefox Help link - address not found. 3) Under the Setting menu, I don't see anything that would allow me to load in Safe mode

We apparently lost power sometime during the night. When I turned on the monitor and opened FF, I got the error message that it had crashed. As my subject line says, I lost all my tabs, the pinned ones (probably about 10) as well as the open ones (probably between 10 and 15). I also lost all my history. I can't use the 'Restore Previous Session' because it doesn't give me that option.

I've restarted Firefox and also rebooted my computer...still nothing happens. It's up to date, version 133.0. But I have no history beyond this morning. Is there any way I can recover those tabs or history?

And in my FF Settings, there's a link at the top that says "Your browser is being managed by your organization". I don't have or belong to an organization. When I click on the link it takes me to another page that says it's "Active" and there's a huge list of "Documentation" that apparently involves a lot of code. Can you please explain what all that means? Thanks so much for any help!

My previous post seems to have disappeared, so will try again. I am 85 years old and have been using Thunderbird fo over 15 years with out any problems. Afew days ago I tried to send an e-mail and didn't have any "Send" button. In trying fix, I some how deleted my contacts sidebar. I sill have my addresses book. I have tried everything to retrieve them but no luck. I tried removing Thunderbird and reinstall, but it comes back the same. I would appreciate an guidance in trying to resolve my problem. My PC had to be reinstalled by our IT-Department. I restored my bookmarks from my Firefox account, but all the tags connected to the bookmarks seem to be lost. Are the tags not synchronized together with the bookmarks?

Before and after synchronization of bookmarks was activated. At least after the re-installation my Firefox is version 133.0.3 which according to Firefox is the latest version. Before the crash automatic updates for Firefox were activated.

I already tried to add a tag for a new bookmark to ensure that tags are displayed in the save bookmark dialogue. No the entry field for tags is displayed, but the tags of the existing bookmarks are still missing.

Is there any way to restore my tags?
