When I try to make a Google search I get the following message, "I'm not a robot" with a reCAPTCHA: "Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. I know this has been an ongoing issue, but it only happens with firefox on both my computers, vpn and all extensions off. Even tried a new IP address, same issue.

My current version of Firefox is 151.0.4 (64-bit) & for the past 2 weeks or so every time I use the search bar to google something it triggers one of those "We've detected unusual activity from your network" requiring a Captcha. At first I tried all of the typical stuff [antivirus, vpn, extensions, etc...] to make sure that wasn't the issue. But as of yesterday & confirmed today I can actually go to Google's website first & do the search from there with no issue & no captcha.

So, whatever the issue is has to do specifically with doing the search via the search bar... for some reason. Is this a bug in the browser, or is there perhaps some setting that could cause this to happen in the about:config page? Though, I doubt a setting could be it because I've changed the settings I've changed now for years without causing this issue.

Hello, I am trying to add extensions from addon.mozilla.org, and any one that I click "Add to Firefox" shows this error code:

"Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt."

A few months ago, I was able to run extensions no problem (For the ad blocker) until my Firefox application updated automatically and it no longer works. My Firefox continues to update automatically since then and I am not able to use any extensions unfortunately.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been having to use Edge in the meantime, but I would prefer to use Firefox.

When will the Mozilla Firefox for Japan be available? I tried to purchase the unlimited VPN but seeing I live in Japan I could not purchase it. So, is there a time frame for when the VPN will be available in Japan?

I have a really tough time signing in and question the idea of all the different profiles we can have. Why not just 1 can sign in? I know it is a security thing, but I have had to change my password so many times I can't remember it! I have been on Firefox for many, many years and at an elderly age it is really difficult. Isn't there an easier way?

My choice for a secondary email is taken according to your program but I own it. I must have created a different Firefox account in the past which I don't use anymore. How can I free up that email address? jgalada24@gmail.com

Each time I open a new tab, it opens in Firefox, instead of my home page. I have my home page set to DuckDuckGo and have tabs set to open to my home page. Each time I click on a new tab, it goes to Firefox and I have to click on the Home icon.

The news keeps coming halfway up on my screen when I turn on Firefox. I have (under customize your homepage) turned off "Show news and interests" and "Trending on Bing". I have also tried refreshing Firefox and a couple of other things. What can I do?

Recently any web site that runs Java scripts will not load in my browser unless I have VPN turned on. The web sites used to load with no problem. I don't know what's going on. Can anyone help me with this issue. ML

Had to restore entire backup image of C: (boot) SSD that was saved on an external USB drive. I had been using FF 156, but the image restored FF 155. My FF profile is always stored on D: (internal HDD).

I launched FF and got a message that my profile was created with a newer version of FF and might not be compatible. The only option was to create a new profile or exit. I created a new profile but when FF opened I had no direct access to my existing profile on D: HDD. It wasn't listed when I clicked the Profiles button on the toolbar.

Came across a site that said to run Start>Run>firefox.exe - P. A box opened that listed both the newly created profile and my existing one on D: HDD. I selected the profile on D: and FF launched without any problems - everything fully restored. So if the existing profile is compatible, why was it so difficult to select it?

How 'bout this..? When FF detects that an existing profile was made with a newer FF version than currently running, why not give the user the option to install the latest FF update on that same message screen, in addition to the option to create a new profile? Then just relaunching FF after the update should allow an existing profile to be selected/used. Obviously existing profiles are compatible with FF updates since everything still works after routine updating.

Exact same thing happened with Thunderbird after reimaging C: because an older version was restored. I tried running thunderbird,exe -P without knowing if that would even work, and it easily allowed me to restore all 5 of my mailbox profiles with thousands of emails that are stored on D: in seconds.

Please make things easier...!

Video is sent from my iPhone to Google Photos. The videos are perfect on the camera but washed out and streaked yellow/white when I watch them on the computer, which is Windows 11 . They have that overexposed look. This is an all of a sudden issue. I have never had this problem before. I am able to see the videos using Chrome with no issue. I've updated what I can and nothing seems to work. Anyone having the same issue? Also, some of the older videos that were fine are displaying in the same way now.

The taskbar (the one with the Start menu) doesn't hide when watching videos in fullscreen mode. This happens on YouTube as well as on any other website. The problem disappears if I run the browser in Safe Mode. It's only Firefox that doesn't work — in Chrome the taskbar does disappear.

Prior to recent Firefox updates I would use this browser to open our property's security app Brivo. I would do this by typing 10.10.112.16 into the search window for an open tab. This would then open the application and allow me to then log into the app. This path is no longer accessible. Error message is attached
