New laptop. Installed Firefox. Set up 2 of the "new" type profiles. Typical extensions (Bitwarden, Bit.ly, Firefox Color). Not too long after, Firefox will no longer launch and the only remediation I've found is to do a clean uninstall/reinstall including deleting registry keys. I've now done this three times now. Environment information

• i7 Core Ultra/32GB RAM
• SentinelOne - Corporate Environment. Installs Firefox Extension. There are no signs in the S1 portal or client that it is blocking firefox.
• nVIDIA RTX PRO 500 Blackwell Video Card. Updated to current driver 582.16
• Threatlocker - Computer is new and has been in "Learning Mode" so it isn't an issue
• Tailscale runs on this machine, but it doesn't seem to make a difference if it is running.

Nothing in the %APPDATA% crash reports folder for firefox. Crash dumps for firefox are in %LOCALAPPDATA%/CrashDumps. One read by AppCrashView is attached. It is a 0xc0000005 Access violation in StackHash_2264.

This is a problem where renaming the firefox.exe to firefox1.exe will get it to run but it seems to lose track of profiles.

Firefox is my favorite browser and I'd like to resolve this, but I really can't afford spending much more time on it or continually clean reinstalling and rebuilding profies. I've seen other similar posts, but no clear resolution.

The first time i'm installing Firefox it quickly made me fall in love with this browser and wanted to fully migrate from Chrome to Firefox, it's more lightweight, has more customization, fully private & secure. But there is only one thing that made me just almost migrate to Firefox, or just 99% complete transitioning to Firefox, and that is me unable downloading. Yes, thats it and it's pretty annoying. I just able downloading pictures, but not when i'm downloading an apps or software like Discord for example. PLEASE HELP ME, MY LAPTOP (X240) IS VERY OLD AND I NEED EVERY PERFORMANCE ON MY LAPTOP FOR WORKSTATION PLUS WITH THIS RAM PRICES (ykwim). Tomorrow i'm planning to switch to Linux (Mint MATE) and i have to do dual-boot just incase there is some software i'm unable to use at Linux. So please, help me. Give each step with no technical explanation, and use beginner languange so i'm easier to understand.

Firefox crashes all the time. Sometimes it makes me manually shut it down with a one-click dialogue box. Other times, it's a two click dialogue box where I click "close firefox" and then have to click again to close the box. This doesn't seem to change performance, but it's a bother. Is there a way for me to fix this?

Everytime i try to go on YouTube and click on a video, it says that "that specific content is unavailable", with every single video i try to watch. i tried using a different browser, like Chrome, and this doesn't happen with those videos, only with Firefox. I also tried switching search engines, but it seems as if it still doesn't work.

Hi, I am having a problem with the recently introduced Firefox profile system. In the Windows taskbar, different profiles stay grouped under the same icon. The only workaround I found is going into taskbar settings and setting it to 'Never combine,' but that causes every program to show text labels, which looks ugly. I also tried modifying taskbar.grouping.use_profile in about:config, but it didn't solve anything

When I search a topic and a Youtube video appears in the search results it won't connect via the hyperlink to youTube. I doesn't give any message it just doesnt connect.

I had FF set up with a full page of frequently used link icons. When I ran CCleaner, it caused all of them to disappear. I've tried following the links, but have had no success so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Weird issue I discovered today is that for whatever reason the LastPass addon in Mozilla Firefox keeps disappearing upon reopening the app and among different computers. So I had it all setup on my MacBook Pro previously working fine but now I found logging into my iMac for LastPass to be missing altogether from my Extensions. I re-installed it. Having had to sign in all over again etc and now when I go to another computer (again logged in with my Firefox account) then the Extension is not there!!!! So damn annoying. What's going on here? Thanks!

All bookmarks and history lost. Have spent over 2 hours following the steps outlined as a standard treatment for this problem, attributed to another program interfering with Firefox Profiles or bookmarks. Restarts of Firefox and PC failed to restore, Going to Bookmarks>Manage Bookmarks fails because when you get to the Library window for Import or Restore and select profile (I show 3 right now, all tagged as .default), there is no way in the window to accomplish a restore. You can insert a profile in the open window but there is no way to activate the restore function. Likewise when I accessed the list of 15 prior bookmark files I had the same result with the restore window. The instructions do not make any sense to me. Need somebody to contact me directly and walk through problem via phone call.

Firefox displays some search results in French. Microsoft Edge shows results only in English. Firefox settings are for English. Google settings are for English. How to fix Firefox or should I uninstall, then reinstall Firefox? Rick

I recently got a large (30") 4k monitor because I have been having trouble reading text. But Firefox has become practically unusable.

Some sites display with giant text, and I have to press ctrl-minus several times to fit them on the screen.

Meanwhile, the text in the Bookmarks bar, tabs, and URL window are unreadably small.

I tried about:config and layout.css.devPixelsPerPx, which currently seems to have a NEGATIVE value of -1.5. Per directions, I changed it to 1.5. NOTHING. NO CHANGE.

Then I found an endless series of possible fixes, all involving similarly opaque and obscure and user-unfriendly steps.

I might have to abandon Firefox, after all these years, over this. Anybody got a simple fix?

(I now see that I'm actually having the same problem in Windows Explorer, so maybe that's where I need to go to fix this.)

I'm using Windows 11 with the latest version of Firefox.

A few days ago I went to addictinggames.com and had no problem playing several games. Today I went there and every game I tried I received the following error "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)."

Then I went to the site using Microsoft Edge and had no problems, every game I tried worked fine.

In Firefox I disabled both Adblocker Ultimate and Ghostery (My only extensions). Before I went to the site I deleted cookies and Temporary Internet Files and I still got the same error. Any ideas?

I have lost all bookmarks on a new laptop. Recently added C Cleaner and did a scan. That may have caused the problem. But, now I cannot recover the bookmarks, nor can I save new bookmarks. The version of Firefox on my android phone has the bookmarks. I can see them. But, I do not see a way to sync the devices and import the data to my laptop.

Please advise.

Since accidentally deleting my current firefox profile, I have been experiencing a multitude of problems: Firstly, if it's possible to recover my profile file, that would fix all my problems. I currently have disk drill installed on my computer, so if there's any way to recover it please let me know. If that isn't possible, there are a few issues: 1: the top 3 buttons being shifted to the right (image 1 is what it looks like now, image 2 is what it used to be) 2: the color of the toolbar affected how other websites look(image 3) 3: all extensions being removed, though this was probably due to the deletion of the profiles

Just a question. When I clear the browsing data I always use the same options and clear from 12AM. The result is I have anywhere from 12-22 MB of remaining data. Why is there a difference?
