I am an online Spanish teacher, and I have been having some trouble. I use Google Meet and a page called Preply to do my classes. When I share my screen, my students can hear any audio (if I am sharing a YouTube video or an audio recording I've made). I don't see any options to allow my audio to be shared, and it's not a Google Meet or Preply problem because as soon as I use Opera or Google, it works. I am not sure what to do

audio is not playing in firefox, nor does it appear in my third party sound mixer like it usually does. it does appear in windows' sound mixer, but does not play any audio. i have refreshed firefox and checked my drivers and my devices work fine. firefox is the only application on my computer that refuses to play audio.

I have my search engine set to Duck Duck Go. Fairly often, it changes to Google or eBay without my asking it to. How can I keep this from happening? I'd like to lock my settings?

I've installed various Markdown Viewer extensions, but I can't get any of them to function. When I open a .markdown (or .md) file with Firefox, the file is displayed as plain text. My markdown test file is very simple: some text, a couple of headers, a couple of lists. The file formats correctly on my android phone. Opening an HTML file with Firefox works fine. I'm baffled. Any help out there?

On windows whenever you move a tab and nudge it out of the window, it instantly creates a new window for it, but on SteamOS desktop mode, instead it only creates a new window once you release the tab onto a blank desktop. This is causing a number of glitches for me, most notably if I release onto a desktop that already has an app, it will create a ghost tab or occupies the same position as a different tab making both of them unusable and I want to know how to change it to be more like Windows, or is this a Firefox specific thing in which case will switching to another browser fix the issue?

I am using firefox on ubuntu (firefox 142.0.1 (64-bit)) and using vertical tabs in the side bar. I recently started using the new(ish) feature of tab groups and I absolutely love it. I was using STG (simple tab groups) before and that fine, but this is way nicer. The only small annoyance I have, which could be a mistake on my side. Is that some of my tab groups are shortend seemingly randomly? If I for example make a group named "phone" it is visible like that, but after a couple of hours it goes to "ph...". I thought it may be sidebar width not being wide enough, but you can see in my screenshot that is not the case. Strangely if I make a new group it is always complete.

So I was wondering if I am missing a setting or config entry.

Hello, I used to use FireFox consistently. Then I noticed a downgrade in performance. I checked Task Master and saw this FireFox with 45 entries. With few CPU entries, but over 3 Gigabytes of Memory usage. Why would that be, and what can I do to correct it and still be able to use FireFox?

When I close the browser, recently it is leaving a lot of background processes running. As a foreground application, when I close the browser, I want it ***closed***. That is, no remaining processes/services. File|Exit should mean exactly that.

@Mozilla, please fix this, or add a very clear/obvious setting in Tools|Settings for "Close all browser processes/threads" on exit. I shouldn't need to get into about:config to start finding things to disable.

This has been interfering with backups because of files remaining open/locked even after the browser is closed.

how do I stop firefox from stealing focus?

How do I STOP this site: https://wise.com/login From stealing focus from what ever I happen to be doing. This is driving me absolutely flipping nuts! All the searches I've done tell me how to prevent popups or notifications or pages from clicked links from focusing, but none of these helps. I've someone could help before I'm completely bald from tearing my hear out, it'd be great.

Not sure if "performance and connectivity" is the correct category. I recently bought a Mac-mini and set it up via iCloud. All seems to be working as before, except that website check boxes don't work properly. In some cases, check boxes are not visible; and when they are visible, there is no visual indication upon selecting the check box. The attached image shows two check box. Upon clicking on a circle, it does not turn black. And sometimes, the circle doesn't even display. Any help appreciated.

Ha, the checkbox below on this form "Email me when someone answers the thread" does not work show "checked" when I click on it.

For the second time in realitivly short period, bookmarks disappeared. Using the methods outlined, no luck. Click on the triple bar on right side, bookmarks, bookmark manger, import & backup, restore, that's where the trail ends

Cookies and Site Data - How do I clear all except the few I want to keep, without having to go through the list and select manually each time. i.e. "Delete all except", every time I close Firefox?

my old computer had the Last Pass icon (on the Firefox browser) on the tool bar all the time. I needed to sign in regularly but I can't figure out how to get it on my new computer, on the toolbar again.

Jestem zadowolony z tej formy kart przeglądarek więc chciałbym przy niej pozostać, natomiast ta czułość rozwijania kiedy kursor myszki jest stosunkowo daleko jest irytująca i znacząco utrudnia korzystanie z przeglądarki.

Hello! I just moved to Firefox a week ago and so far, I'm really happy I did. Nearly everything is better. That being said, there's one feature I used all the time on Chrome that I can't get working right here, and that's auto scroll. On Chrome, it worked no problem. When I clicked in the scroll wheel, it turned on auto scroll and would stay enabled until I clicked it again. One Firefox though, this isn't working right. When I click in the wheel here, it enables for a quick second before disabling itself. It's super annoying and makes it unusable. I found out it's because scrolling on the scroll wheel cancels auto scroll on Firefox, but not on chrome. So how do I make it so scrolling on the scroll wheel doesn't break auto scroll? Hello! There is a problem in the Firefox browser that if you have multiple tabs open, it deactivates the tab after 5 minutes, and if you go back to that page, it has to reload.

For example: If you start a song on YouTube and open another page and start reading the news there, the music dies after 5 minutes because it deactivates the YouTube page.

How can I turn off this feature because it is a bit annoying?
